Duncan Macmillan propõe-nos uma viagem acelerada pelo tempo de vida de um casal. Uma montanha russa emocional despoletada pela questão de ter ou não ter um bebé. De que falam eles, quando falam? De que falamos nós, quando falamos?
A poética do texto assente num linguajar quotidiano rápido, pleno de sobreposições e banalidades, parece apontar para um questionamento existencial, mas também posicionar-nos enquanto indivíduos pertencentes a uma espécie animal em risco de extinção.
Quanto estamos dispostos a ceder para salvar o espaço comum que habitamos? Ainda iremos a tempo? A tempo de quê?

Is it insatiable our search for consolation in another one and in the world?
Duncan Macmillan offers us an accelerated journey through the life span of a couple. An emotional rollercoaster triggered by the question of whether or not to have a baby. What do they talk about when they talk? What do we talk about when we talk?
The poetics of the text, based on a quick everyday language, full of overlapping and banalities, seems to point to an existential questioning, but also to position us as individuals belonging to an animal species at risk of extinction.
How much are we willing to give up to save the common space we inhabit? Do we still have time? Time for what?
