Sinopse
Ler Maria Judite de Carvalho é mergulhar num imenso caldeirão de coisas sem nome porque tratadas com extremo pudor, e que parecem explicar-nos, como a copa de uma árvore espelha as suas raízes escondidas na terra.
Comemoramos o seu centenário no Jardim de Inverno, onde uma instalação de Adriana Molder enquadrará um ciclo de três leituras encenadas de excertos da sua obra. Na última sessão, e em jeito de tertúlia, ficaremos à conversa com Inês Fraga, neta da autora e estudiosa da sua obra.
Investigamos, assim, potencialidades cénicas de uma escrita plena de imagens, com a liberdade que uma leitura encenada permite, deixando que pequenos gestos convoquem o espectador a preencher estas paisagens, que poderíamos dizer sem barcos, como o título de um dos seus contos, mas a que chamámos sem história, porque eternas.

Synopsis
Reading Maria Judite de Carvalho’s work is like delving into an immense melting pot of nameless things, as they are treated with extreme modesty and seem to describe how a tree’s canopy reflects its buried roots.
We celebrate her 100th anniversary in the Winter Garden, featuring an installation by Adriana Molder, which sets the mood for a cycle of three staged readings of excerpts from her work. In the last session, a sort of literary gathering, we talked with Inês Fraga, the granddaughter of the author and a pundit of her work.
We explore the scenic potential of her writings imbued with images, with the freedom enabled by a staged reading, letting small gestures summon the spectator to fill these landscapes, which we could say have no boats, like the title of one of her short stories, but which we have referred to as having no history, as they are eternal.
